Jewel Evans is Master in Public Health candidate at the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. Specializing in Urban Design, Jewel’s interests are in environmental justice in urban planning and equitable land use in the built environment. She recently worked on a research project with the Detroit Medical Center using mixed methods to target gaps in healthcare pathways for women of color experiencing STIs. Jewel received her B.A. from Washington University, where she majored in Anthropology with a concentration in Global Health and Environment.
